17ft Michicraft canoe delivered - $350 (Suamico)
17ft Michicraft Canoe. Selling due to in-laws no longer have the lake camp Where we kept it. Hull has no dents or cracks and all rivets are present. I did add spray foam to both ends to fill in air gaps due to old insulation shrinking. This is some of the stained look at the ends of the canoe from spray foam spills but is only cosmetic. Canoe was factory painted on inside, outside is original aluminum finish, not painted ever from what I gathered. Very sturdy rigid canoe for an older canoe. I can deliver within an hour or so drive on my boat trailer from the Green Bay area or you can pick up. No leaking last time I used. Canoe only, no trailer or paddles.

I added 2 wooden seats in the center for my kids when they were young, worked great for many years but don't have a need for her and I would like to see her get used again for someone. If you are interested let me know, e-mail via CL e-mail any questions, interest, etc. Cash only, no trailer, canoe only.

I found this info about the DE-17 series Michicraft canoe. It is a strong, durable canoe that is very popular with canoe rental places. It's aluminum canoe that is Extra Wide =Extra STABLE.

Here are facts that I found online about these canoes:
"Michicraft canoes, like other brands such as Aerocraft, Smokercraft, Alumacraft, etc use airplane grade aluminum. They are designed with 'sponsons' to be WAY more stable than a traditional canoe. The sponsons are inside and can be seen as the perpendicular floor supports.
Sponsons are projections from the sides of a watercraft, for protection, stability, or the mounting of equipment such as armaments or lifeboats, etc. They extend a hull dimension at or below the waterline and serve to increase flotation or add lift when underway.

Sponsons are commonly used on jetskis and other personal watercraft such as canoes to provide either additional buoyancy and thus stability against capsize, or hydrodynamic forces to resist capsize. They can often be easily attached to an existing craft in order to improve its stability."
